The Institute for Political Research and Self-Development (INIAP, by its Spanish acronym) is a non-partisan and non-profit oriented, scientific and cultural political project. The mission of the Institute is the promotion of civic participation, on the part of social groups traditionally excluded from the economic, political and social system, through the promotion of a strategy that leads to learning about and taking the rights and responsibilities by citizens. The goal is to empower these social groups in order for them to reach sustainable development, build and consolidate democracy, peace, and full respect for human rights. INIAP's methodology is based on participation and self-development. INIAP develops its programs in three areas (research, education, and assistanship and accompaniment).
